I recently came across a talented singer-songwriter called Denai Moore, who was born in Jamaica and raised in London. She recently released sophomore EP “The Lake” and it blew me as  featured a refreshing sound ( a great mixture of soul and folk) and her approach is so sincere and pure and her vocal delivery is reminiscent of James Blake and touch of Lauryn Hill.

You can listen to the  gorgeous EP below and also give a listen to some tracks off her debut EP “Saudade”.

I`m proud to introduce to you, a talented girl group from the UK called M.O( stands for Modus operandi ) it consists of  three members Frankee Connolly, Annie Ashcroft and Mafro Phelan. The beautiful trio came on the music scene in late 2012 with their debut single “Wait Your Turn“ which showcased their sassy personality as they sang over a very aggressive-club ready production. The single might not done much on the charts but it created a great platform for the ladies to display what they are bringing to the table, which is alot of talent.

American Idol’s Season 12 winner Candice Glover has finally released her long-await debut album “Music Speaks” which features 12 tracks including her singles “Cried”, “Damn” and a powerful rendition of the Cure’s “Lovesong” which she performed on the show last year, delivering a stunning performance.

Before we go into this album I have to say this, when the era started I was not feeling the first two singles as I felt they sounded more like album fillers than single material and the whole promotional approach has been sickeningly weak which is sad because Glover has managed to deliver a solid album that needs the extra push to be successful and reach more people.

The first time I heard of Kelela was off Solange`s impressive compilation album “Saint Heron”, I went on to explore more of her music and I was blown away with what I heard,  especially with her stunning debut mixtape “CUT 4 ME”. Now the L.A based R&B singer has followed it up up her with a new single called “The High” which was produced by Gifted & Blessed, it is a minimal down-tempo number with an excellent background that creates the perfect atmospheric for her to showcase her icy vocals.

Canadian born – New York -based singer-songwriter Kiesza has premiered the visual for her new single “Hideaway” serving as the lead single and titile track lifted for her upcoming EP due out on 13th April via Lokal Legend. The song is a big pop track that features elements of house music and electro pop with a great 90s vibe to it, laced up with a glossy vocal delivery.

While the visual is low-budget but it`s very effective as it captures the mood of the single perfectly and her choreography is so amazing, she was going in.

Swedish foursome Little Dragon has premiered their visual for their newest single “Klapp Klapp” which serves as the lead single lifted from their upcoming fourth album titled “Nabuma Rubberband” which is slated for release on 13th May via Because Music.

Here`s what Yukimi Nagano(frontwoman) had to say during her interview with Rolling Stones about how the album came together:  “I think when we started, we had no vision whatsoever,” “We just wanted to make the ball start rolling and just brainstorm ideas and see what comes up and then make plans thereafter. I think a lot of visions came through. Our sound is wide – it’s not just one particular style – so we dove into different worlds. New worlds, new spaces we haven’t been to before. There definitely are elements of sonically romantic tracks. It feels like there are different moods and we’re exploring ourselves a bit.”
