When Xscape reunited and had a very successful tour run in 2017we all naturally thought a new album was next. We all were wrong as Kandi made the public aware she was not interested in creating new Xscape music. Well thanks to time passing and the meddling of Mama Joyce, Kandi herself made the announcement that all 4 members of Xscape are getting back in the studio to make new music.

Really excited about this news it’s been a while since we’ve had a girl group that can really sang! I just hope they do not take the same direction they took when the 3 remaining girls released their 2018 ill-fated EP. Long as the music is great this can work out for all 4 ladies. Here’s to hoping nothing stops this moving train.

Back in 2016 Solange released her first #1 hit album A Seat at the Table. Two years after it’s release the youngest Knowles sister is ready to bless us again with new music. In a new interview with The New York Times‘ T Magazine, the Grammy-winning singer talks about her upcoming album.

Set to be released this fall Solange announced that her follow up LP will be Jazz inspired. “There is a lot of jazz at the core,” she reveals. “But with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.” “I like to be able to tell the story in 13 different ways, then I like to edit,” she says of her process.

NY Times magazine described the album as “warm, fluid, and more sensual than her last one.” While Solagne exudes nothing but confidence the singer/songwriter is still nervous with releasing her LP “I have this fear living in my body about releasing work,” she says. “I don’t know any artist that doesn’t feel that before they hit the send button.” Hopefully with this new interview coming out that we will get to hear a new single soon. After announcing her new label deal with Keep Cool/RCA Records, Normani wasted no time with getting nothing but the best for her debut solo album. As her duet single “Love Lies” with Khalid climbs up the charts, the 5H member recruits the help of Missy Elliott for her debut LP.

Speaking with Billboard, Normani explained how the collaboration happened. “I’ll be working with Missy Elliott soon, and the fact that she’s even willing to take a chance on me as a new artist means a lot, considering that she’s the one I’ve looked up to since I was a little girl,” she explained. “I literally remember dancing in my grandmother’s living room to all of Missy Elliott’s records. She’s such an innovator, and there’s no one else out there like her. The fact that she is willing to work with me…I’m like, ‘Who? Me?’”

While no release date has been set yet, Normani is hoping for a late 2018 or early 2019 release. While making her promo rounds Normani recently stopped by HOT 97 to talk about  Fifth Harmony’s hiatus, metting Beyonce and more.
