Tinashe took her career back into her own hands when she departed ways with Sony Music, now the singer is back independent and doing things her way. Today Tinashe unleashed her new video and song for Die a Little Bit” featuring British rapper Ms Banks.

With the premiere of her new single, Tinashe is gearing up to release Songs for You, the follow-up to last year’s Joyride and her first project since going independent. She has been previewing new music for fans at listening parties in London and Los Angeles.

“Creatively, I just feel like I needed to go through what I went through in order to be the person that I am today and to get back to my roots,” said Tinashe. “You pretty much put your heart and soul and emotions into all these songs and then you put them out there for the world to judge and tear down and pick apart. It’s terrifying and it can really mess with your head.”

This past Friday EMMY® Award-nominated and two-time Golden Globe® Award-nominated actress, producer, and writer Issa Rae, announced the launch of her new record label Raedio, a partnership with Atlantic Records.The joint venture kicks off with today’s release of the new single, “Kinda Love,” by Raedio flagship artist TeaMarrr.

The companion visual, directed by child (Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye), features cameos from label boss Issa Rae and comedian Jessie Woo. Formed earlier this year, Raedio serves artists and creators at the highest level as an “audio everywhere company,” operating as the home to a dynamic roster of talent. Most importantly, Raedio extends a platform across media to align acts with film and television projects, commercials, podcasts, and beyond.

The number nine has a lot of significance to Kim. March 9 is the day Biggie died and June 9 is the day her daughter Royal Reign was born. There were also nine members in Junior M.A.F.I.A. and she was born on 7/11 (7+1+1=9). “Everything has been aligning for me perfectly,” she told “Extra.”

With the release of 9, Kim has a lot more in store as she revealed on VH1’s “Girls Cruise” reunion special, that 9 will have two parts.
