Back in October, Kehlani released her new buzz track ‘Honey.’ In the track the singer stayed true to herself as she revealed her love for women. Today Kehlani gave her acoustic driven single a visual to match. In the David Camarena-directed video, Kehlani and her girlfriend, played by newcomer Arianna Johnson, to share intimate moments.

“There were particular reasons why I chose AJ for this video… this song was inspired by an androgynous woman, and I wanted to find someone who fell in line with that, who was “hard” yet so so soft (yes, like a bee),” said Lani in an Instagram post. “I was asked, “why not use a feminine girl?” , but I knew I wanted to honor the inspiration, and paint the picture of the sweet tender aspect that shines through every woman, no matter what. Thank you for doing this @beingspontaneous she killed her first video job everyone! HONEY.”

We can expect to hear more new music from Kehlani as she recently announced she had an upcoming collaboration with Cardi B. Check out the new video below.

Just one week after revealing the name of her debut album SweetSexySavage,’ Today the 21-year-old singer took to Twitter to announce that her Atlantic Records debut album will be released on January 27th, which is  the same day as her label mate Sevyn Streeter will unleash her debut album Girl Disrupted.

Along with taking to Twitter to announce the release date, Kehlani also shared the albums official cover art. Fans can pre-order SWEETSEXYSAVAGE starting Friday (Dec. 1). I’m really excited to hear what Kehlani’s debut album will sound like, although I am kinda wondering why Atlantic Records would release her album the same day at Sevyn Streeter.
