There’s no denying that music has changed some for the best but mostly for the worse as music is no longer viewed as a work of art because artist nowadays don’t take their craft seriously to be taken seriously nor make timeless music that changes the face of music.

black R&BR&B music is slowly dying not only because of the declining albums sales but because of the music itself seems to be less inspiring, it`s soul seems less existent and the content seems commercial driven less about delivering a heartfelt message that offers honestly and healing.

A few weeks ago there were rumors going around that Epic Records were planning to drop Mariah Carey from the label. Looks as though those rumors were false, earlier today Mariah Carey announced her new new joint partnership with Epic to establish her new label Butterfly MC Records as well as a long-awaited studio album due out “later this year.”

Mariah’s chart records have established her enduring place in music history, a position that is cherished and supported by her loyal fans worldwide. I look forward to building upon all of Mariah’s success for years to come.” Said Reid in a statement.

“I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music. I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.” Said Mariah. mariah-carey-i-dont-video Mariah Carey has premiered her music video for her brand new single “I Don’t” which features rapper YG and I have to say that the song sounds simply amazing, it`s been long since we heard her sound this good and trying to sound young and extra, it`s straight down hot shit. No word if the song will feature on her rumored  fifteenth studio album.

Mariah Carey did not let her fans down when she debuted her new video for “Infinity,” the only new track that is included on  her greatest hits album #1 to Infinity. In the Brett Ratner directed video, Mariah Carey mashes up some footage of herself performing at her Las Vegas residency show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, while having cameo’s from several men including Tyson Beckford and Jussie Smollett.

While I have grown to like this song, far as the video,  I wish Mariah would have just kept the video simply  of her performing to her fans, I could have done without that story line she tried to put in the video it just didn’t add up. Check out the clip below.
