Megan Thee Stallion has also been nominated for Top Rap Female Artist at the Billboard Music Awards 2020 and has been honored by TIME in the TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Megan achieved her second global #1 of the year; a collaboration with female rap powerhouse Cardi B, ‘WAP’ in August 2020. After hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with a historic remix of “Savage” featuring Beyoncé, that benefitted Houston-based charity Bread Of Life Inc., Houston Hottie Megan Thee Stallion is turning up the heat on Hot Girl Summer with a brand new single, “Girls In The Hood.”

Sampling the Eazy-E classic “Boyz-N-The-Hood,” “Girls In The Hood” is a street-smart ode to the area Megan grew up in and the pride in being a product of her surroundings. A celebration of the lifestyle and energy of her community, “Girls In The Hood” features all the hallmarks of Megan at her finest; playful lyricism, hard-hitting delivery, and a self-confident vibe. Using the track to celebrate her culture and her blackness, Megan has created an anthem reminding girls worldwide that just because you’re from the bottom, it doesn’t mean you can’t come out on top and keep it real the whole way.

“Girls In The Hood” comes halfway through Hot Girl Meg’s best year yet, with her star turn on HBO Max’s show “Legendary,” her next step into fashion as an ambassador for Savage X Fenty, a #1 single under her belt, an incredible 5 nominations at the 2020 BET Awards, airing live this Sunday on BET and CBS at 8/7c, and an upcoming performance on the GMA concert series (airing August 21st).

Megan’s song Savage took over Tiktok as the dance went viral, today the Houston rapper gives new life to the single as she recruits the one and only  Beyonce for the remix. The track has been given multiple new verses from both Meg and Bey. All proceeds from the remix will benefit Bread of Life’s Houston COVID-19 relief efforts, which Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD organization recently announced a $6 million donation to in partnership with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s #startsmall.

Houston Hottie Megan Thee Stallion’s SUGA project released last week to widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike, edging us closer to Hot Girl Summer with the most complete encapsulation of her culture-shifting sound to date. Among the project’s early highlights was ‘Captain Hook’ – a hard hitting rap cut and an ode to men with curves in all the right places.

Co-produced by LilJuMadeTheBeat and Megan herself, the track puts Thee Stallion’s trademark lyrical flair on centre stage; finding her paying tribute to satisfaction without compromise over an 808-laden instrumental, punctuated with cartoonish sword slices. Featuring the exact kind of audacious one-liners that Megan has become synonymous with.

Directed by Megan, the video casts her hotties into select scenes, allowing Megan to encourage her message of positivity and female kinship in Suga’s own, hyper-glamourous world. The visual depicts Megan recording the track in the studio with her closest friends, setting the tone for the song’s raucous energy by inviting more and more hotties to the session. Culminating in the ultimate hottie party, ‘Captain Hook’ becomes the soundtrack to one of the wildest nights out Houston has ever seen, with Thee Stallion in full command of the boat.
