She may have been robbed of the Best New Artist Award but, Lizzo gave a  VMA debut to remember. Taking the stage in front of a giant inflatable butt, she opened with her top 10 hit “Truth Hurts” before leading into “Good as Hell.”

“I’m tired of the bullshit,” said Lizzo. “And I don’t have to know your story to know that you’re tired of the bullshit too… I wanna take this opportunity right now to just feel good as hell ’cause we deserve to feel good as hell.”

Just moments ago MTV announced the nominees for their 2019 VMAs. Leading with 10 nominations this year is Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift as they scored nominations in the categories Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop. Newcomer Lil Nas X scores eight including Video of the Year and Best New Artist. While Cardi B racks up four nominations in categories including Artist of the Year, Best Pop, Best Hip-Hop, and Best Dance.

Fans can start voting for their favorites across 14 categories by visiting vma.mtv.com until Aug. 15. The VMAs, hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, will air live from Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday, Aug. 26, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Check out the nominees below.

Last night MTV held their 2018 Video Music Awards live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The night started as Cardi B kicked the show off with a brief and hilarious monologue. The night continued on as we saw performances by Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Logic with Ryan Tedder, Shawn Mendes, Aerosmith, Jessie Reyez and more.

Next month MTV will air the 2018 VMA awards. Today the full list of this years nominees were announced. Cardi B leads with 10 nominations, including Video, Song, and Artist of the Year, while JAY-Z and Beyoncé follow with eight, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Hip-Hop for their Everything Is Love single “APES**T.”

With the summer almost coming to an end MTV has announced their nominees for the 2017 VMA’s. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack as he is nominated for 8 awards this year,  Katy Perry and The Weeknd are tied for second place with five nominations apiece. This year, MTV has decided to replace the Best Male Video and Best Female Video awards for a non-gender-specific Artist of the Year trophy.

 

Fans can begin voting for their favorites now through MTV’s VMA website.  The MTV Video Music Awards will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Check out the full list of nominees below.

Just a few moments ago MTV took to Facebook live to announce the official nominees for the 2016 MTV VMA’s, which takes place Sunday, August 28, at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. Beyonce kicks off the nomination’s list with a total of 11 nominations’, while Adele is not far behind as she racked up a total of 8 Nominations.

The show’s flagship Video of the Year category is truly stacked, pitting Adele’s “Hello,” Beyoncé’s “Formation,” Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” and Kanye West’s “Famous” against each other.
