Last night Normani had the internet going crazy as she unleashed the video to her debut single “Motivation.” Directed by Dave Meyers and Daniel Russell, in the dance-heavy video Normani takes us back to the early 2000s paying homage to some classic videos from the early 2000s, including Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” and Jennifer Lopez’ “I’m Real.”

The video starts off with a young Normani watching 106 & Park in her grandmother’s house imagining her video being the #1 video on the countdown. Things then kick-off as Normani gives her best Beyonce Crazy in love personation. Normani’s lead single was co-written by Ariana Grande. Normani is now readying her highly-anticipated solo debut. “I want this album to represent and encompass all that Normani is,” she told GRAMMY.com. Check out the new video below.

It’s been a good minute since we hear any new music from D.R.A.M, today the Virginia singer returns with his new single, “The Lay Down.”

The new single which features H.E.R shows DRAM showing off more of his “R&B and soul roots” while premiering the new song Dram gave his fans more insight to his sophomore album.

“Over the last 2 years, I’ve been working on my sophomore album while simultaneously going through the ups and downs of life in general. As a result of this, many of these experiences have been heavily reflected in my work moving forward. As I mature, so does my sound.”

Detroit natives Kash Doll and Big Sean collaborate once again for Kash Doll’s new single Ready Set. The record is an obvious undeniable summer smash, with its celebratory tone and energized pace driven flow. Directed by Jesse Ray Diamond with Teyana (Spike Tee) Taylor serving as Creative Director, the video matches the songs high energy with a Motor City inspired race themed visual that is beyond smoking hot.

Speaking about the song and video, Kash Doll says, “Ready Set is a motivational and aspirational song. I wanted to let people know if I can make it, despite the things I’ve been through, they can do it too. I’m a D girl so I’m determined.”

The Detroit rapper is on a serious roll. She is fresh off a BET Award nomination for “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist,” touring the country with Meek Mill and just had her major music release “Kitten” featuring none other than the legendary hip-hop icon Lil Wayne. This all follows her groundbreaking mini-movie and song “Hustla” released in April.

Teyana Taylor has unleashed her new single and self-directed video for “How You Want It?,” her new collaboration with Diddy’s son Christian “King” Combs. The nostalgic track samples Ma$e and Total’s ’90s hit “What You Want.”

In the new clip, Teyana and King Combs pay homage to classic 90’s videos such as LL Cool J’s “Doin It” then taking it back to the Shiny Suit era as they channel Diddy and Mase video “Mo Money Mo Problems.” Check out the new video below.

This past Monday Big Sean made his return to the music scene when his new visual for Single Again dropped. The short film, which stars real-life couple Ryan Destiny and Keith Powers was inspired by Sean’s relationship with Aiko, is a cautionary tale of what can happen in the court of public opinion when we believe what we see on social media.

The video has a lot of important messages, but the main one is for people to ‘wake up and smell the roses’ in a world where we wake up and check our phones instead.” said Big sean while explaining his new visual. Video director Lawrence Lamont added “The visual highlights a few social issues, including social media’s ability to sway people’s opinions to the point of disharmony, the social pressures faced by Millennial’s and Generation Y and media coverage of the Black man. Iggy Azalea’s highly-anticipated sophomore album In My Defense is out today and to accompany this release, Azalea has unleashed another video masterpiece for album track “F*** It Up” featuring Kash Doll. The ladies put their own spin on the cult classic comedy, “Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion,” with a special guest appearance from YouTube celebrity Nikita Dragun.

The four-time GRAMMY-nominated and multi-platinum artist will celebrate this release with two headline shows: TONIGHT in Los Angeles at The Fonda Theatre in partnership with TIDAL and on July 24 in New York City at The Bowery Ballroom. Both shows are sold out.

As the official Lion King movie soundtrack was released last week. One of the movie co-stars Beyoncé has taken today to unveil the cover and track list for her compilation project – “The Lion King: The Gift.” Excusive produced by Bey, the album serves as a “love letter to Africa.” The new album features guest appearances from Burna Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Wiz Kid, Tiera Whack, 070 Shake and a number of African artists.

“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it,” the singer told ABC News. “I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa,” she added “I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline. Each song was written to reflect the film’s storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery, while listening to a new contemporary interpretation. It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”

With the album arriving July 19th, Bey pulled another surprised her fans as she dropped the official video for “Spirit” ealier today on ABC tonight during the Lion King 20/20 special hosted by Robin Roberts. Check out the official tracklist below.
