After years of solo singles, EPs, collabs, and songwriting for other artists, Sevyn Streeter’s long awaited debut album “Girl Disrupted” has finally arrived and it`s not disappointing at all, it sees her delivering a stunning album laced up with strong vocals and solid lyrics that are very transparent.

Livin – This infectious breezy mid-tempo starts off the album and it talks about going through deep depression, tremendous heartbreak and ultimately being reborn into a more carefree no f*cks to give perspective because you’ve come to the realization that you only get one life to live the production is very minimalistic which allows the true meaning of the lyrics to shine

Present Situation feat. The-Dream – This chopped and screwed banger talks about being in a three way “situationship” where you can’t be upset because you know he has another woman and you want more but you know it’s not possible the production on this track gives me dub meets contemporary R&B almost other worldly.

My Love For You – This melodic mid-tempo is simply a dream she talks about being madly in love with this amazing person and even though she receives a lot admiration she only desires to give her love to one person alone this track is nothing short of perfection from the Whitney Houston sample to the lush harmonies you can’t go wrong.

Anything U Want – This summer ready jam talks about being sprung on the man of your dreams and your willing to give him anything he desires this track just feels like it’s made to be listened to with the top down and shades on definitely a home run the production is a mix between sun-kissed pop meets contemporary R&B LOVE IT!!1/2

Ol Skool feat. Dej Loaf & Jeremih- This nostalgic bop uses excellent word play with sexual innuendos using throwback tracks such as 12 Play by R Kelly, Ricky Bobby and especially liked the Lil Jon “Get Low” reference “To the window to the wall I’m gonna Ying Yang your body” definitely a nice track to vibe to when you want to get in the mood.

Soon As I Get Home – This dance-floor ready track starts off with an immediate throwback capturing one of my favorites by Faith Evans “Soon As I Get Home” talks having a good time out with friends drinks and more I just in vision a 90’s “House Party” themed music video for this song this definitely sounds hit worthy!!!

Before I Do – This mellow ballad talks about really being in love with someone but hearing they have been loving someone else so before you go any deeper with them you need to know is it going be you & them or not at all the production is very simple with acoustic guitars and drums it gives you that throwback R&B feel.

Been A Minute feat. August Alsina – This sultry track talks about missing that special someone close to you and wanting that loving back if not for just a moment of spontaneous passion this track is simply outstanding the production is very sultry and bass driven best collabo on the album most definitely.

Translation – This thumping mid-tempo talks about not being able to communicate effectively in a relationship and just wanting that person to understand where you are coming from the production gives me more bass than treble overall a great track

Peace Sign feat. Dave East – This sultry mid-tempo once again allows Sevyn’s world play as an exceptional lyricist to shine through it talks about throwing up the peace sign for that special someone. I’m loving the acoustic elements combined with the bass driven production adds for another amazing track.

Fallen feat. Ty Dolla $ign & Cam Wallace – This thumping mid-tempo again takes you back in time with the throwback New Edition sample “If It Isn’t Love” this track speaks about falling deeply for that special one the production is another bass heavy number definitely a bomb track.

How Many – This heart breaking mid-tempo talks being done wrong by the one you love and even though he keeps saying he loves you you know deep in your heart he’s giving his love away to someone else the tracks production isn’t as strong as it could be but it’s enjoyable solid track overall.

Everything In Me – This acoustic driven ballad talks about being hurt by someone and no matter how he tries to hide behind the false facade you can see doesn’t mean you well at all the vocals on this track really pulls on the heart strings definitely a great way to end this beautiful record.
