While we have known about C.S Armstrong for quite some time now, the NYC singer has unleashed his Republic Records debut with his new song “Own Two” featuring TDE’s Jay Rock. The track spotlights his staggering range as his voice simmers over laidback verses before the high-register hook,

I never leaned on another man. I’d rather live on my own two. Jay Rock pulls up with deft and dynamic bars as a potent and poetic counterpoint. The song seamlessly fuses southern soul, towering gospel, West Coast hp-hop, and timeless R&B.

Recently, the modern-day bluesman also teamed up with none other than Black Thought of The Roots for “Welcome To America” from the Judas and the Black Messiah Soundtrack. Check out the new song below.

While Kelly Rowland celebrated her 40th birthday, she gave a special gift to her fans as he released a new song titled “Black Magic” Produced by SAK PASE. When speaking about her new single Kelly said

’Black Magic’ expresses everything there is to feel confident, feel proud of, feel encouraged by being Black. I am really excited that it’s coming now which is in the thick of Black History Month. To me, I feel like we should be celebrating 365 days a year from what we’ve been through to what we continue to fight for when it comes to equal rights and justice. To me, this is a fight song. We’re continuing to put our magic forth so that we can put it on display for others to continue to see, even when they don’t want to see it.But I think they can’t help but see it because Black magic is effortless.”

The birth of a new song isn’t the only new baby Kelly Rowland has, as she recently gave birth to her second son

The title of it is Homegrown. It’s a full-circle moment for us because that actually was supposed to be the original title of our project that ended up becoming Silk Canvas. It all started in our home, and it was very much between me and my sister—writing all the songs, producing, all that,” Jessica Nwokike of VanJess told Juliana Ukiomogbe of Interview Magazine about their new EP.
